Some church leaders today error when they teach that 35 Bible verses that discuss sleep after death are all incorrect or parable. As evidence they quote the Bible verse “to be absent from the body” means to be “present with the Lord”. 

These church leaders change the meaning of the words sleep or asleep at death, to mean exactly the opposite of what Jesus literally said. “Sleep” after death is illegally & illogically changed to instead mean “awake” after death.

Contradiction only exists due to our ignorance, when we don’t understand that science proves ALL Bible verses were true at the same time. The Bible correctly stated that we have both a mortal physical body & eternal spiritual body.

Spiritual sleep is analogous to a wife present with her husband when she sleeps beside him in bed. She is physically present with him, but mentally asleep at the same time & knows nothing that occurs around her. Both descriptions are 100% correct at same time.

After death our physical body, connected to our spiritual body (I Cor. 15:44), remains at our grave in this dimension on Earth. Although at the same geographical location, our spiritual body sleeps protected by God in a different Heavenly dimension and knows nothing.

Other church denominations commit deadly error when they change Bible words to parable to state there is no literal eternal Hell & we have no eternal soul.

Satan’s favorite trap today is the same as the deadly trap he used to corrupt Eve then Adam, that caused all humans to face death… to change God’s words. He said, did God really say ‘You must not eat from any tree in the garden’ … ’You will not certainly die’. Gen. 3:1,4

Legally it is forbidden to change any word of the Bible per God! Not even an angel can change the words of scripture. If we do, Paul said that we would be accursed and the truth is not in us. Gal 1:8.

Physical death equals spiritual sleep for 99.999% of all people throughout history. But the Bible also states that a tiny fraction of people do NOT sleep after death. They are literally described as awake, or they are awakened for a short time… then go back to sleep. Both statements are correct at the same time, as proven using the literal Bible verses, and the latest science.

God also uses Biblical and scientifically proven modern near death experiences of Heaven to describe the unimaginable beauty, peace and love we will experience for eternity in Heaven after Jesus returns.
